If I could give an 11 out of 10 I would!! This is a 3-star accommodation so not a luxury hotel (just so people reading this know not to expect 4 or 5 star amenities). However this is hands-down more than excellent value for money given it is all-inclusive. Even 2-star hotels come out much more expensive than Sunrise Village Hotel especially when you factor in food & drinks. We were a big group of 6 families and all of us are singing praises!! Kids & adults alike could not want for more. What we love: 1) Food is delicious, satisfying and there is a good mix of soup, meat, fish, veg, salads & desserts. They also vary the dishes each day so we didn’t tire of eating the same (we stayed 1 week). Snacks also available throughout the day. I couldn’t believe the price considering food & drinks are all-inclusive! 2) There were daily activities to keep children entertained. 3) The rooms are spotlessly clean! I ran my fingers over the wardrobe shelves to make sure I could place our clothes without needing to lay a sheet first (which I usually do in other hotels) and they were dust-free. Some of my friends moved their sofa beds to join them together and the floor underneath was also very clean. Furthermore rooms are also quite spacious, with balcony and shower room/WC each downstairs and upstairs. 4) Although it isn’t a beach front hotel, it is only a few minutes walk to the beach. And the walk is pleasant one. Tip: there is a shop just a stone’s throw away from the hotel that sells drinks, snacks, souvenirs, etc - cheaper than many of the shops along the main road. 5) Last but certainly not the least — the AMAZING STAFF!!! For me (well for all of us really) the staff here are the HEARTBEAT of the hotel. Every single one of them is not only efficient but kind, accommodating, welcoming and always eager to please. Huuuuge shout-out to Konstantina who had sorted everything out for us even 2-3 months before we arrived.

The staff are the main reason we enjoyed our stay here. Attentive, helpful and friendly, they were sincerely lovely and they really made our holiday better. The room was very comfortable (with AC👌🏾), spacious and clean; housekeeping were thorough. Even though the beach is half a mile away, we could see the sea from our balcony! Reception team were super helpful and the food/bar service teams were wonderful (especially the dinner time staff! 🙏🏾). The dinner food options were numerous, ranging from traditional greek options to sushi, depending on the night. The main town street is a short walk (20min) or drive (2min) away. There's plenty of shopping options (recommend getting a pair of leather sandals from one of the shops, they're gorgeous comfy and affordable). There's also options for drinking/eating overlooking the seaside. We hired a car to drive to the likes of Kissamos , Farlasana and Rethymno but there's more than enough to fill your days if you stay local. Overall this was worth the money and if we ever circle back to Chania region, we'll be back! Also there's a few cute cats around the property😍(and everywhere on this island).

* THE STAFF: everyone from Babis in the pool bar, Eleni in the restaurant, our sweet maid ... lots more to mention - they were all working tirelessly to keep standards up and make sure we were enjoying our stay. Everyone was ALWAYS smiling and helpful and always eager to please. * CLEANLINESS: never once did I have to question the cleanliness of the glasses, plates or cutlery (and I am very fussy). The whole place is kept spotless and the staff should be commended for this! * OUR ROOM: the Junior Suite - Split Level has a toilet and bathroom upstairs and downstairs which was an unexpected bonus for us! Room was very spacious and incredibly clean. The A/C worked amazingly well. * LOCATION: right at the perfect point between Platanias and Agia Marina with plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby in walking distance. Little mini market virtually next door if you need any snacks, drinks, essentials or gifts.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in a one-bedroom apartment as a family of four. I have to say the place was very quiet and spacious. I was initially worried about noise since our room was on the ground floor, right in front of the swimming pool, but the windows provided excellent sound isolation. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all very nice, with plenty of tasty food that changed daily. We requested a lunch box on the day we missed lunch due to a day trip. While the lunch box could have been better, it was adequate for a quick bite. We had a minor issue with the bathroom, but it was resolved promptly the next morning. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Crete.

It was pleasant experience, I have nothing to be sceptical about staying in this hotel! Food was delicious, every day was suprising us with new taste we never experienced before. All staff - waiters, bartenders and reception employers was friendly and ready to help us in every moment, we felt very taken care of. Of you’re planning trip to Chania City, theres many options to reach there - bus stop is very close from the hotel you can also use a taxi cab. Every evening are organized parties with Dance and music! You can also relax NEXT to the pool or take part in aqua aerobic classes! Walk to the beach takes like 5 minutes. Highly recommended! Im gonna back there for sure next year!
